This is meI've been teaching yoga full time since 2005. I was hired to write training materials for a hot yoga chain in Dallas, Texas, and I created their 500 hour teacher training program while becoming a teacher myself. In 2008, I took a year off to study, and in 2009 wrote the first draft of my own 200 hour training program, under the name Camp Utopia. In 2010, I began training Camp U's first graduating class, opened my first yoga studio, and found my true audience, my style, my voice, my passion, my purpose. The Yoga You Need is a philosophy of teaching the most useful, practical, accessible, and valuable postures and exercises for living a life without pain. (Or living with less pain, as the case may be, for you.) My classes are not easy, and not hard. Meaning you'll work hard, but in ways that don't hurt you. Instead, you'll feel more balance and stability, easy and confident movement, increased energy and less pain.
